VAUDE collaborates with many suppliers who are bluesign® system partners and incorporates a large number of bluesign® system-certified materials into each collection. Your advantage: Clean materials made with resource efficiency.
VAUDE nominates a very high proportion of the materials used in our products, especially all primary materials. This means we specify to our producers which materials they should purchase from which suppliers.
By requiring the use of bluesign® system-certified materials, we set the highest standards.
The bluesign® SYSTEM is unique. Harmful substances are proactively excluded at the beginning of the textile supply chain through Input Stream Management to minimize impacts on people and the environment. Only pre-certified chemicals are permitted. More information is available here.
All energy, water, and raw material consumption throughout the entire supply chain is reviewed and continuously optimized. Climate-damaging emissions, wastewater, and waste are reduced.
Every item carrying a bluesign PRODUCT or APPROVED label has been manufactured in accordance with strict safety and environmental requirements.
Known as the bluesign CRITERIA, these are the highest standards in the industry.
As a result, you receive a highly functional VAUDE product made in accordance with the strictest criteria in environmentally friendly production.
VAUDE has been working with the bluesign® system since 2001. We have fully integrated it into the VAUDE Green Shape criteria.

The bluesign® system ensures that no substances of very high concern (SVHC) according to the European REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) are included in the products.
The limits for chemical substances under the bluesign® system are often lower than legally required limits.
With its "Input Stream Management," the bluesign® system tackles the root of the problem: instead of just looking at the finished product and analyzing chemical substances, the bluesign® system examines the upstream production processes of all processed components (fabrics, yarns, chemical additives such as dyes, etc.) of a product.
All input and output streams are scrutinized. Only materials that meet the rigorous bluesign® system criteria enter the production cycle.
